SCOTT FAWCETT

GOLF PERFORMANCE MENTOR

Scott Fawcett is a leading figure in modern golf performance, best known as the creator of the DECADE Course Management System—a data-driven approach that has fundamentally changed how elite players strategise on the golf course. Blending analytics, shot patterns, and decision-making frameworks, Scott has positioned himself at the forefront of applying statistical modelling to real-world golf performance.

Early career & playing background

Scott played collegiate golf at Texas A&M University before turning professional, competing on the web.com and Hooters tours. While his playing career did not reach the heights he envisioned, it provided him with a crucial insight that many players underperform not because of poor technique - but because of poor decisions.

This realisation became the foundation for his later work.

DECADE

Scott developed DECADE (Distance, Expectation, Correct Target, Analyze, Discipline, Execute) as a response to what he saw as a major gap in golf coaching - objective strategy.

At its core, DECADE is built on:

  • Shot dispersion patterns (understanding how far offline shots actually go)
  • Strokes gained data and expectation values
  • Target selection based on probabilities, not intuition
  • Eliminating emotional or ego-driven decisions

Rather than aiming at flags by default, DECADE teaches players to aim where the data says they should, often resulting in more conservative - but ultimately lower-scoring play.

Influence on elite players

DecadeĀ has been adopted by a growing number of top-level players which has seen Scott work with players such as Bryson De Chambeau, Will Zalatoris, Webb Simpson and Keith Mitchell along with numerous NCAA Division I players and national champions.

Scott Fawcett has established himself as one of the most influential minds in golf strategy through the development of DECADE.
